On Saturday, 21 February 2015, in the evening at 18:28, in Plungės district municipality, on A. Jucio street near No. 42, a Citroen C5 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person died — a 84-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Citroen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He was drunk (0.13‰ blood alcohol).
