On Monday, 2 March 2015, in the evening at 19:31, in Šiauliai, on K. Kalinausko street near No. 26, a Peugeot 206 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Peugeot (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.09‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
