On Sunday, 15 March 2015, in the evening at 19:40, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 53), an Audi A4 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He refused a sobriety test, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
