On Wednesday, 25 March 2015, in the morning at 5:58, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Tirkšliai–Užlieknė–Viekšniai regional road (kilometre 4.80), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
