On Friday, 27 March 2015, in the afternoon at 14:19, in Panevėžys, on Klaipėdos street, at the junction with Krekenavos street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Renault Espace and a Solaris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Renault (11 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
