On Monday, 30 March 2015, at night at 0:54, in Palanga, on Medvalakio street, at the junction with Pavėsio tak., an Opel Astra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to comply with road signs or markings, committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
