On Thursday, 1 January 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Ignalinos district municipality, on the Molėtai–Kaltanėnai–Ignalina national road (kilometre 52.60), a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 18-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by a 18-year-old pedestrian, who was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest).
