On Wednesday, 1 April 2015, at night at 23:26, in Palanga, on Žvejų street, at the junction with Neringos street, an Audi A4 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.86‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
