On Monday, 6 April 2015, at night at 3:54, in Kaunas, on I. Kanto street, at the junction with Kęstučio street, a Mitsubishi Colt hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (a citizen of Turkey) (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
