On Sunday, 12 April 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 67.55), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault VEL Satis and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Renault (31 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
