On Tuesday, 14 April 2015, in the afternoon at 16:05, in Telšių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 63.85), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Transporter, a MTZ Belarus-82, a PSE-12,5 Ratinis and an Audi A4 WW. Audi S4. Two people were injured — the 23-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient) and a 19-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.92‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
