On Thursday, 16 April 2015, in the morning at 8:30, in Vilnius, on Linkmenų street near No. 8, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a car and a Volkswagen Polo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of a car (a citizen of Poland) (16 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
