On Thursday, 23 April 2015, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kaunas, on Kęstučio street near No. 85, a Volvo S40 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 19-year-old pedestrian, who committed sudden emergence from behind a vehicle, tree, etc.. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
