On Monday, 27 April 2015, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Pakalnės village, on Pakalnės street near No. 36, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a MTZ Belarus-82 and an Audi 100. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the MTZ (21 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.32‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
