On Monday, 4 May 2015, in the evening at 17:30, in Kaunas, on Chemijos street near No. 53, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Mercedes-Benz 310. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (20 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when changing direction. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
