On Thursday, 7 May 2015, in the afternoon at 11:50, in Kaunas, on Ateities pl., at the junction with Taikos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Citroen Xantia and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Citroen, who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.48‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
