On Monday, 18 May 2015, in the morning at 8:30, in Ignalinos district municipality, on J. Čepulėno street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Octavia and a Renault Safrane. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Skoda (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
