On Thursday, 21 May 2015, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Biržų district municipality, on the Biržai–Germaniškis national road (kilometre 6), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet.
