On Wednesday, 27 May 2015, in the afternoon at 16:15, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 118), a Peugeot 306 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.70‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
