On Sunday, 31 May 2015, at night at 2:03, in Vilnius, on Laisvės pr., at the junction with Pilaitės pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 318 and a BMW 320. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW 318, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.05‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
