On Sunday, 31 May 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 92.65), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 605 and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Peugeot (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
