On Sunday, 31 May 2015, in the evening at 19:20, in Šakių district municipality, on V. Kudirkos street near No. 11D, a BMW 530 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.94‰ blood alcohol).
