On Sunday, 31 May 2015, in the evening at 21:01, in Joniškio district municipality, Mekių village, on Mūšos street near No. 7, a Renault Espace hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
