On Friday, 5 June 2015, in the afternoon at 13:29, in Jonavos district municipality, on Vasario 16-osios street, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Honda CBR 900 and an Opel Omega. Two people were injured — the driver of the Honda (hospitalized) and the 24-year-old driver of the Opel (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the driver of the Honda (less than a year of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules, failed to keep a safe distance and entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
