On Wednesday, 17 June 2015, at night at 2:40, in Biržų district municipality, on B. Sruogos street near No. 56, an Opel Omega hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.22‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
