On Tuesday, 23 June 2015, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 101), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 Avant, a Ford Mondeo and a Peugeot Partner. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Audi (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
