On Friday, 26 June 2015, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Klaipėda, on Šilutės pl., at the junction with Baltijos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E290 and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
