On Tuesday, 30 June 2015, in the afternoon at 11:10, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės pr. near No. 8, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Audi (43 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
