On Wednesday, 15 July 2015, in the morning at 5:50, in Kauno district municipality, Noreikiškių village, on Šiltnamių street, a head-on collision occurred. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
