On Saturday, 18 July 2015, at night at around 3:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on Laisvės street near No. 17, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved an Audi 80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
