On Monday, 17 August 2015, in the evening at 20:44, in Šiauliai, on Tilžės street, at the junction with Gluosnių street, a BMW 525 D hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 45-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the BMW (22 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
