On Wednesday, 2 September 2015, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Vandžiogala national road (kilometre 10), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Lincoln Town CAR and a Toyota Land Cruiser (150 SERIES) registered in Germany. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Lincoln (8 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
