On Saturday, 5 September 2015, at night at 23:50, in Vilnius, on Lizdeikos street, at the junction with Valakupių street, a Mitsubishi Lancer ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
