On Sunday, 6 September 2015, in the afternoon at 11:12, in Kupiškio district municipality, Laičių village, on Kaštonų street, a BMW ran off the road. One person died — the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (later died from the injuries, was not wearing a helmet). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.02‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
