On Thursday, 10 September 2015, in the evening at 17:58, in Telšių district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with Birutės street, an Audi A6 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 88-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Audi (14 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
