On Tuesday, 15 September 2015, in the morning at 7:30, in Kaunas, on Raudondvario pl. near No. 72, a Solaris Urbino 12 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 49-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Solaris (20 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
