On Friday, 25 September 2015, at night at 1:30, in Jurbarko district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 74), a collision with barriers occurred. The accident involved an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel, who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. He was drunk (1.16‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
