On Sunday, 11 October 2015, in the morning at 8:30, in Šilalės district municipality, Apidėmių village, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 117.04), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
