On Tuesday, 13 October 2015, in the evening at 20:59, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 30.55), a Nissan Terrano rolled over. Two people were injured — a 9-year-old passenger of the Nissan (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 12-year-old passenger of the Nissan (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Nissan, who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (1.14‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
