On Saturday, 17 October 2015, in the afternoon at 13:22, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Daugpilis–Rokiškis–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 96.88), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Marea and a Volkswagen Transporter. One person died — the 76-year-old driver of the Fiat (was not wearing a seatbelt).
