On Thursday, 8 October 2015, in the evening at 20:22, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šeduva national road (kilometre 18.72), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MTZ and a Ford Galaxy. One person was injured — the 60-year-old driver of the Ford (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the MTZ, who was driving a vehicle with faults the traffic rules prohibit driving with. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
