On Friday, 20 November 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Ukmergės district municipality, on Kauno street near No. 29A, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 86-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (23 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
