On Sunday, 22 November 2015, in the evening at 18:41, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Ariogala–Raseiniai–Kryžkalnis national road (kilometre 55.39), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra, a Citroen Berlingo and an Audi 80. Three people were injured — the 28-year-old driver of the Opel (treated as an outpatient), a 52-year-old passenger of the Citroen (treated as an outpatient) and the 41-year-old driver of the Citroen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Opel, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (1.82‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
