On Wednesday, 25 November 2015, in the evening at 22:49, in Biržų district municipality, on Vabalninko street, at the junction with Plento street, a Volkswagen Polo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.67‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
