On Friday, 27 November 2015, in the evening at 17:34, in Vilnius, on Salomėjos Nėries street near No. 107, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a car, a Volkswagen Sharan and a Volvo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of a car (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.23‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
