On Sunday, 29 November 2015, at night at 3:35, in Šiauliai, on Panevėžio street near No. 4A, a Mercedes-Benz 250 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.90‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
