On Thursday, 19 November 2015, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Jurbarko district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 73.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 307 and an Iveco 50C15. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who violated overtaking rules. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
