On Friday, 11 December 2015, in the evening at 17:25, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 5), a car hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 74-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by a 74-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the carriageway where prohibited and was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest).
