On Wednesday, 9 December 2015, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Kauno district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with Tulpių street, an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Opel (23 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
