On Thursday, 17 December 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street, at the junction with Rasos street, an Opel hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 44-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 71-year-old driver of the Opel (48 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
